In 2026, the AANA Foundation celebrates 45 years of advancing nurse anesthesiology through education and research. The $45 for 45 campaign invites our community to mark this milestone by investing in the future of the profession—ensuring CRNAs and RRNAs have the resources, education, and research support needed to deliver safe, high‑quality anesthesia care nationwide.

Ways to Participate

The $45 for 45 campaign offers meaningful ways for individuals and partners to give at a level that is personally impactful:

  • CRNAs: Consider a gift of $45 per month ($540 annually)

  • RRNAs: Consider a one‑time $45 gift

  • 45th Anniversary Giving Circle: Join a special group of donors contributing $2,500 or more, demonstrating leadership support for the profession

Gifts of all sizes are welcomed and help advance the Foundation’s mission.

  • Annual Fund

    The Proof Is Power Annual Fund supports CRNAs/nurse anesthesiologists and RRNAs nationwide through Grants, Scholarships, Leadership and CRNA Scholar Opportunities, Posters and more.

  • Friends For Life - Leave a Legacy Gift

    Support nurse anesthesiology through a legacy gift with the Friends for Life program. The most common planned gifts are tax-favored bequests, trusts, gift annuities, and life insurance policies. The minimum to join with a planned gift is $25,000 or a cash gift or pledge of $25,000 within a five-year period. The deadline to join Friends for Life is June 15

  • Research In Safety & Effectiveness

    The campaign to RISE Above for Research in Safety & Effectiveness supports Health Policy Research – critical, large-scale studies to expand the body of research that confirms that nurse anesthetists are cost effective and safe.

  • Scholarships

    A scholarship may be sponsored by an individual or an organization. This program provides assistance to residents involved in a nurse anesthesia program and CRNAs/nurse anesthesiologists enrolled in doctoral study.

  • Endowments

    AANA Foundation’s endowments provide support to residents and CRNAs/nurse anesthesiologists through scholarships and research funding. All funds deposited in an endowment fund are in trust by the AANA Foundation Board of Trustees. These funds are invested in accordance with the general investment guidelines of the AANA Foundation.

  • Sponsor or Attend an Event

    The Foundation hosts fundraising events at the AANA Annual Congress and EDGE each year. Your donation can support these events which offer social and networking opportunities when CRNAs/nurse anesthesiologists and residents from across the country gather together to connect.

  • Sponsor A Resident

    Individuals or organizations can sponsor a resident nurse anesthetist to attend AANA Annual Congress in-person. Sponsor-a-Resident when registering for Annual Congress or by making a donation through the Foundation’s secure donation page and designating Sponsor-a-Resident.

  • REEG Fund

    The Resident Emergency Educational Grant (REEG) Fund is intended to support resident nurse anesthetists experiencing financial hardship due to a natural disaster. To donate to the REEG fund visit the Foundations secure donation page and designate Resident Emergency Education Fund.

  • Donate Stock

    Stock Donator provides a secure, fast, and simple online service to donate publicly traded stocks to non-profit organizations. Individual donors can log onto StockDonator.com and enter the information required to donate stock. Please contact Nat Carmichael, ncarmichael@aana.com, with any questions regarding donating stock through StockDonator.com.

  • Tribute and Memorial Gifts

    Tribute and Memorial gifts may be made to the Foundation in honor of or in memory of someone special. Please select Designated Gifts – Tribute Program and add your dedication in the Specific Donation Comments field.

  • Qualified Charitable Distribution

    A Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) allows individuals aged 70½ or older to donate directly from their IRA to a qualified charity like AANA Foundation without counting the distribution as taxable income. It may also satisfy required minimum distributions.

  • $45 for 45 Campaign
